About Us

img_9024Zoe Johnson has trained as an auctioneer through the Australian Valuers and Auctioneers Association (AVAA) and is an active member of the association.

Arriving in Singapore as a “trailing spouse” 5 years ago Zoe now balances running Expat Auctions and family life with her husband and two sons aged 7 and 3.

A self-confessed “auction junkie” Zoe was disappointed to find there was nothing like this service offered in Singapore. Although the notice-boards at Cold Storage, Tanglin Mall, the American Club and the odd garage sale proved fruitful in finding second-hand items, Zoe believed there was a much better way to trade second-hand furniture.

Also, what better way to save a tree than buying second-hand teak furniture?

With a background in broadcasting (ABC Radio & TV) Zoe is available for charity auctions and also offers a professional auctioneer service for companies and corporate events.

Shirley LeRoux joined the Expat Auctions team late in 2009. Shirley was among the first registered bidders and was at the inaugural auction in February 2008. As a client Shirley experienced the service Expat Auctions provided first hand. Not long after, Shirley put up her hand to work behind the scenes and is now a valued member of the team working in operations.

Nikki Wise was also an Expat Auctions client at first but as a seller not a buyer. During her house move Nikki found it a great stress relief to know that Expat Auctions would help sell off her unwanted furniture and household items. With enthusiasm and a love of the business idea Nikki offered her expertise in finance and now heads up the Accounts department.
